Our Name

“Torque”, typically represented by the Greek letter tau (τ), is a force which changes the angular momentum of an object, causing a non-rotating object to begin rotating, or changing the direction or speed of spin of an already-turning object. A hand using a wrench to turn a bolt, or a foot pushing a bicycle pedal to turn the chainring, each applies torque. If torque is not applied, the angular momentum of an object never changes. 

Torque Point Advisors, LLC aims to change the direction of the situations in which it is involved. Every turnaround, whether mechanical or financial, requires torque.
